The Wind Chill Makes It Feel Like !@#$%^

See what is circled in that pic? It's as cold as one of those right now.

Right now in luxurious Northern Virginia, we are enjoying a clear evening with a comfortable temperature of 15 degrees. It actually feels like -1,000 degrees, but some dipshit on the news told me it's 15. It's the coldest it has been around here in ages, and it is supposed to be even colder tomorrow. That's fantastic. I was hoping that when I get into my car that I would have to pry my hands from a frozen steering wheel, as many layers of my skin are left behind.

Now I know it is not as cold here as it is in the Midwest, but you know what? I don't care about the Midwest. I'm self serving when it's cold, and all I am worried about is my warmth and comfort. That's not completely true, I'm not that much of a bastard. It's days like this that make you realize how grateful you should be because you have a warm house to come home to, and you are blessed enough to not have to brave the elements.

Stay warm kiddos!

This Man Is Cooler Than Any Of You!!!!

Go see this flick now! I'm serious. Get off your ass and drive to the movie theatre. Right now.Get off the computer and head towards your vehicle. The porn will still be here when you get back.

The best movie I have seen in the past five years. Clint Eastwood is more of a man at 78 than I or you (unless you are rocking ovaries...then of course he is more of a man than you.) will ever be.

I'll let qualified movie reviewers describe this film, but I cannot recommend it enough. Eastwood is gritty and manly as one would expect, but I feel he has reinvented himself in this role. He should win some kind of award. I'm thinking he should be presented with the "For Christ Sakes I Was In Tombstone" Man of the Century Award.

New XBOX Experience

Well the upcoming XBOX 360 fall update has been being touted for a good minute. The eventual changes are being promoted as changing the way we all use our 360. They are really trying to make it THE entertainment console.

What is it?
Enter the ultimate social entertainment experience. Connect
with your favorite people and enjoy more games and entertainment online than
with any other device connected to your TV. Welcome to the New Xbox Experience.
Jump in.

Some things I think may be cool:

1. Netflix streamed movies via the 360 ---- If they pump up the library, this could be huge.

2. New streamlined look -- Who does not like to be asthetically pleased?

Things I don't care about:

Avatar --- I have a Mii thank you. I already look dumb...don't need a cartoon version of me to feel worse about myself.

Curious for this update to drop and see if it does make my 360 more than just a console I jump on when I want to get my rear end handed to me by an 11 year old in Halo 3.

Another One Bites The Dust

Apparently my freedom means very little to me. If William Wallace were around today, he would bitch slap me for disrespecting my ability to live my life on my own terms. What William holds so dear, I throw away like a used tissue.

Let it be known, that on Wednesday October 1, 2008, I dropped down on on knee, professed my love, and then surrendered my balls to my lovely girlfriend Rachel.

In all actuality, I am very excited! Rachel and I have been together for over 2 years now, and I have never been happier in my life. To think she is willing to put up with my crap for the rest of her life really speaks volumes about her patience and resolve. She's a gem. I'm lucky.

No date is set yet, so technically I am still a free man. I'll keep you posted as things develop.

Wish me luck!

Top Comic Book Movies BEFORE 2000

My brother brought home a Batman comic when the 1989 movie was released, and from that point on I have had a fascination with all things Superheroes. I always liked them as a kid, but it was that day when John brought the comic home that my pseudo obsession began.

I collected comic books for many years. Spiderman, X-men, JLA, Batman.....the list goes on and on. Then one day, like many hobbies for a young man, I kinda just stopped. But my love for the Superhero continued. That's why I am psyched every time I hear about a new comic based movie release.

There have been some awesome ones in the past few years. X-men 1 & 2, Spiderman 1 & 2, Sin City and Batman Begins are some examples. There have also been some steaming piles released too. ( Think Hulk and Fantastic Four). But this recent blitz of comic to movie enterprises is nothing new.

The good folks over at Retrojunk.com have posted an article where they take a look at the best comic book movies pre-year 2000.

1. Superman

2. Superman II

3. Batman

4. The Crow

5. The Mask

6. Blade

7. Batman: Mask of the Phantasm

8. Dick Tracy

9. The Shadow

10. Mystery Men

I'd put Batman at number one, and would drop The Shadow and Mystery Men from the list. The last two movies sucked! I'd rather watch Batman and Robin than The Shadow. Bring on the Bat-nipple suits....

OK....let's go with Plan B!
